Voluntary blood and platelet collections by apheresis continue without pauses – Agenfor

Dr. Víctor Cambra, director of the Provincial Hemotherapy Center, referred to the voluntary collection of blood and platelets by apheresis that took place this Wednesday, the 11th, at the Hospital in the town of San Martín Dos, whose institution is located within Health District No. 3, which corresponds to the District Hospital of Ibarreta.

The director of the Ibarreta Hospital, Dr. Maximiliano Ledesma, and the director of the San Martín Dos Hospital, Dr. Brizuela, were also present on this day. Meanwhile, on Thursday 12th, a visit to the town of Fortín Lugones is planned, to also carry out this same activity. It will take place from 8 in the morning at the health center of that community, which depends exclusively on the programmatic area of ​​the Las Lomitas District Hospital, he also reported.

For this reason, Cambra stressed AGENFOR that in this “great voluntary blood and platelet collection campaign by apheresis they are working together with two district hospitals” in the interior of the province.

He also thanked the haemotherapy technicians from the Ibarreta and Las Lomitas Hospitals and the Provincial Haemotherapy Centre, which also has technicians from the La Madre y el Niño Hospital, for their presence.

The director of the Provincial Hemotherapy Center, regarding the collection this Wednesday, said: “This has been possible thanks to the responsibility and commitment assumed by all the directors of the district hospitals and also those dependent on each of these programmatic areas.”

He also commented that this is the second time they have come to San Martín Dos, “having a very good predisposition from people who are informed, mainly, thanks to the local media and also to the promotion that was previously carried out in schools, in the hospital of course and health centers, as well as in the Municipality.”

He added that the campaign lasted until 1:00 p.m., and then mentioned that this week the Hospital of Sanitary District No. 1 of the town of Ingeniero Juárez was also carrying out a large collection in the town of El Chorro, “with a large turnout of the community and this has been achieved thanks to the promotion and dissemination of the media that brings information to homes.”
