Volodymyr Zelensky once again called on the US Congress to approve the financing of Ukraine as soon as possible. A country’s capabilities on the battlefield depend on it.
Zelensky noted that until the moment when Ukraine does not know that it can have the constant support of the United States, “we will be in the position we are in.” He added that currently the Ukrainian Armed Forces can attack to a limited extent, “but in order to push the Russians, we need more weapons,” the head of state stressed.
He noted that because of the contradictions in the Congress, Ukraine has already missed half a year. “We can no longer waste time. Ukraine cannot be subject to inter-party politics”.
The president believes that opponents of aid to Ukraine do not understand the stakes in a full-scale war: “If Ukraine falls, Putin will divide the world into friends and enemies of Russia.”
Zelensky said Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s energy system are a big problem. He believes that Ukraine can stop these attacks by making Russia pay the same price, “and when Russia stops these attacks, we will stop them too.”
“Since we have no air defense to protect our energy system, and the Russians attack us, I ask: Why can’t we fight back?! Let their society learn to live without gasoline, without diesel, without electricity. That’s fair.” concluded Zelensky.
In the last month, Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian territory have become more frequent and have managed to disable four major Russian oil refineries.
