In his Telegramchannel, State Duma spokesman Vyacheslav Volodin published a post in which he summarized the results of 2022. According to him, more than 13,000 sanctions have been imposed on Russia this year, but the country’s political system and economic model are survived. At the same time, Volodin stressed that there are still many problems to be solved.
According to Viacheslav Volodin, all social obligations towards citizens are fulfilled. He notes that the year’s unemployment rate was set at an all-time low of 3.7%. The MEP also cited statistics from other European countries and indicated that they are at least four times higher.
“Commissioning of housing was 100 million square meters. m – a record in history, starting from the times of the USSR. 2022 was also the best year in terms of road construction. A record 150 million tons of grain was harvested. During the Soviet period, our country was an importer, now it has become the world leader in grain exports. But the results shouldn’t be reassuring. There are still many problems. They need to be addressed,” she wrote.
Summing up, Vyacheslav Volodin said that the predictions of Washington and Brussels about the collapse of the Russian economy have failed. “By overcoming challenges, we become stronger. Next year should be a development year,” he concluded.
