Volleyball players of TV Dingolfing win 3-0 in second place – (ki) With the best performance of the season so far, TV Dingolfing won the second women’s volleyball league on Saturday evening (9.10.21) in the up to now undefeated second table, the first division reserve of VC Wiesbaden surprisingly smooth with 3-0.
The day after, TVD coach Andreas Urmann was enthusiastic about his women and the performance shown by his team in Wiesbaden. The “dingoes” implemented his tactics exactly on the field and after a competitive opening set, which the TV players won with 25:23, the “dingoes” dominated the match, which is proven by the further set results of 25:14 and 25:20. After just 70 minutes of pure playing time, the acclaimed surprise success was certain. Coach Urmann had to do without Franziska Liebschner and Lule Simnica-Kabashi during the guest appearance in Hesse, but once again the large and balanced squad proved to be an advantage. Especially in the field defense, in the block work and its security, the game of the TV players stood out, who were able to travel home as a deserved winner and with three points. These three points and the third success in the fourth game brought the TVD to third place in the table, which it will now defend against the strong SV Lohhof in the Bavarian Derby next Sunday from 3 p.m. in the Bavarian derby with the hopefully strong support the fans and spectators on Kirta Sunday afternoon.
Around 2 o’clock in the morning the “dingoes” came back from their successful guest performance in Wiesbaden. Already at 11 o’clock it was time to start again, because the Bavarian cup final was on the program. This cup round was held in the form of a tournament in the Dingolfing sports hall Höll-Ost. Five teams had reported: in addition to the hosts, the two other second division teams TV Planegg-Krailling and the second team of the Rote Raben Vilsbiburg as well as the two third division teams from Unterhaching and Ansbach. In the end there was a big surprise, because the third division TSV Unterhaching won the cup round and again qualified for the qualifying game for the round of 16 of the German Cup against the winner of the regional area East. The Upper Bavarian winners managed the feat of defeating all three second division teams, including TV Dingolfing in the semifinals in two tight sets with 24:26 and 23:25. The award ceremony was carried out by the game manager of the Bavarian Volleyball Association, Petra Stumpf, and the department head of volleyball at TV Dingolfing, Hans Böhm, who also acted as tournament director.
