The French champion and red lantern of Ligue A Cannes won the derby of the Côte d’Azur against Nice. The promoted Plessis-Robinson meanwhile offered Montpellier, while Chaumont pushed Poitiers a little further.

Cannes are still bottom of Ligue A with five rounds remaining, but the reigning French champions remain alive, after their victory in the Côte d’Azur derby against sixth-placed Nice, who remained on three victories of continued. The Cannois won in the tie-break after 1h59 of play at their neighbors, thanks in particular to a Ronald Jimenez author of 28 points (16pts for Bruno Lima on the Nice side). Even if they completely missed the third set, lost 11-25, the French champions were able to bounce back by winning the next two quite easily.
Montpellier falls from above
Montpellier, for its part, remains third, but suffered a big setback by losing in three sets to Plessis-Robinson (10th), the promoted, who had lost his last five games. Jaime Herrera finishes as Chaumont’s top scorer, with 22 pointswhile the 23 points of Chizoba Atu Neves were not enough for the Pictaves, who will tremble until the end.
