The draw for the round of 16 in Berlin resulted in the following four internal duels for the 1st Bundesliga women. The VC Neuwied is there for the first time.
Neuwied. The VC Wiesbaden competes with the defending champion SSC Palmberg Schwerin, the Roten Raben Vilsbiburg compete against the Ladies in Black Aachen. The league newcomer VC Neuwied 77 meets VfB Suhl LOTTO Thüringen and SC Potsdam competes with Schwarz-Weiß Erfurt. Dresdner SC, Allianz MTV Stuttgart, NawaRo Straubing and USC Münster play away against the winners from the schedule of the regional cup winners.
In the men’s first division, the 2021 finalist, Energiequelle Netzhoppers KW-Bestensee, was the only team from the 1st Bundesliga men to be awarded a home right. The opponent will be the 16-time DVV Cup winner VfB Friedrichshafen. All other seven teams from the upper house play away against a regional cup winner.
