[이데일리 스타in 임정우 기자] The Korean Volleyball Association recently punished Lee Jae-young and Lee Da-young, who caused controversy over school violence, for “deprivation of national representative qualifications indefinitely,” and canceled the award for the mother of the sisters, Kim Kyung-hee.
The Korean Volleyball Association announced on the 15th that “the last February 2020 Volleyball Player’s Night” was canceled the award for the grandparents received by Kim Kyung-hee, the mother of Lee Jae-young and Lee Da-young.
At that time, Mr. Kim was awarded the Great Parent Award in recognition of her contribution to raising Lee Jae-young and Lee Da-young sisters. However, the Korean Volleyball Association decided to cancel the award for Mr. Kim’s grand father or higher, as controversy over school violence occurred between the two players recently.
The Korean Volleyball Association plans to propose the cancellation of Mr. Kim’s award as an agenda to the board of directors that will be held in the near future.
