We have long known that Volkswagen is preparing a fully electric sedan on the border between the middle and upper middle class. The first such pre-production concept was the ID Vizzion from 2019, which was later accompanied by a station wagon version.
–
A new concept called ID.Aero, which was supposed to appear in China in April, but due to a pandemic, the premiere was postponed a little closer to the serial form.
–
Volkswagen has not revealed much about the car yet, but the name itself points out that the emphasis was on the car’s aerodynamic efficiency. This is aided by the teardrop profile and smooth body.
–
The mass-produced version will go on sale in the Chinese car market in the second half of 2023. The version for the North American and European markets, later produced in Germany, will be introduced in the same year.
