Volkswagen also wants to fully immerse itself in the change in the equipment concept, which it is partially applying today. That is, the cars will come off the tracks basically in full equipment, but some functions will have to be paid for by the user for a certain period of time.

“In the future, the individual configuration of the vehicle will no longer be determined by the hardware at the time of purchase. Instead, the customer will be able to order the required functions at any time via the digital ecosystem in his car, ”says Brandstätter.
