The German car manufacturer Volkswagen is preparing the modernized version of the Golf 8 model, or feisliftu, which should reach customers in the foreseeable future. The automaker has released the first blacked-out image of the updated Golf, which gives us some insight into what VW has in mind when updating its bestselleri.
In the first 11 months of this year, VW sold 166,304 Golf copies, according to DataForce data that makes the Golf only the seventh best-selling car in its class across Europe. Thomas Schaefer, head of the Volkswagen brand, has confirmed that the modernized version will arrive at customers already next year.
It is clear from the picture that we will see different style of headlights. Also, the car manufacturer has prepared an illuminated VW logo on the front radiator grill and also an LED strip across the width of the car, which we have previously observed in other models.
It is known that a completely new ninth generation Golf is planned around 2028, which will already be built on the new generation SSP platform. For now, the statements suggest that with the change of generations, the Golf will move into the electric era, abandoning internal combustion engines. It is true that until 2028 we still have some time to live, besides, the VW concern has repeatedly paused or postponed various projects in the last couple of years. It cannot be ruled out that the ninth generation Golf will still use internal combustion engines in one way or another, but for now we have to wait for the so-called Mk 8.5 Golf, namely feisliftu for the current model.
