The new Volkswagen Amarok is to be shown to the world in the middle of 2022, with the Germans promising the possibility of closing the first orders at selected markets in the end of this year.

According to the press release, the car will boast a completely new design and enlarged dimensions. Specifically, the pickup will be ten inches longer and four wider.

Among other things, Volkswagen states that the amarok will also improve in the interior, which should be more luxurious than the original version.

“The new Volkswagen Amarok impresses with its robust, straightforward design. This is also evident in the interior of this pick-up. The clear layout, robust design, technically designed elements, clean, sleek surfaces and exceptionally high-quality instrument panel all take Volkswagen’s DNA to a new level and enhance Amarok’s premium ambitions, ”said Albert-Johann Kirzinger, Chief Volkswagen Utility Designer.

The novelty should also offer a range of advanced assistance features to make amarok even more useful in any job. In the pick-up segment, the car should bring hitherto unused innovations. The carmaker also confirmed the V6 TDI engine, as well as the gasoline alternative.

Volkswagen has developed a novelty in Australia and Europe and intends to manufacture it in Silverton, South Africa. It will be created in collaboration with Ford, which has already introduced its ranger on a common platform.
