“Volkswagen Launches Limited Edition Polo GTI Edition 25 to Celebrate 25 Years on the Market”

To mark 25 years of the Polo GTI small car on the market, Volkswagen has developed a special model, the Polo GTI Edition 25, which will be released in a limited series.

In 1998, the first Volkswagen Polo GTI model was delivered to buyers, with three letters denoting the sportiest version of the serial model. 25 years later, the Edition 25 is launched in the market, which will experience a series of 2,500 copies and is offered worldwide to sports model enthusiasts.

Such a car will get the GTI’s characteristic red brake calipers and decorative moldings, a honeycomb radiator grille and chrome sports exhaust tips. In addition, exclusive 18-inch Adelaide Black Glossy light-alloy wheels, black roof and mirror housings, LED Matrix headlights with dynamic high-beam assistant and diode daytime running lights.

In the cabin, TOP sports seats with perforated black and red leather, embroidered GTI inscriptions, as well as glossy black decor with red GTI inscriptions. The Edition 25 includes a leather-wrapped sports steering wheel adorned with an anniversary logo. The speed shift paddles are attached to the steering wheel, while the buttons on it are designed to activate various functions. The serial number of the relevant copy will be visible on the “One of 2500” door sill decoration.

In addition to the GTI colors Pure White, Kings Red Metallic, Reef Blue Metallic, Smoke Gray Metallic and Deep Black Pearl Effect, the Polo GTI Edition 25 is also available in Ascot Gray (pictured).

In the engine compartment, a 2.0 TSI unit with a power of 207 hp (320 Nm), which can ensure a run to a hundred in 6.5 seconds. The anniversary model is equipped with a special suspension that is 15 mm lower.

The Volkswagen Polo GTI Edition 25 will be produced in South Africa. It will become available from June 1, the price in Germany is 35,205 euros.
