Volkswagen’s electric ID Buzz passenger bus can now be ordered for EUR 69.990 and will be delivered in October. In the first instance, it concerns more expensive versions with extra options. ‘Later’ there should be cheaper versions ‘with a starting price of about 55,000 euros’.

Volkswagen has the prices of three ID Buzz versions announced, of which two consumer versions. Those consumer versions are five-seaters and come first in 1ST– in 1ST Max versions. The first model has 20″ rims, a heated steering wheel, heated seats and a 10″ infotainment screen. The Max version has 21″ rims, more driving assistants and a 12″ infotainment screen. The 1ST Max version costs 74,590 euros.

The German car manufacturer also announces the price for the ID Buzz Cargo. This is the commercial vehicle version of the Buzz. It has two seats and a cargo space length of 2.21 m. This gives the car a loading volume of 3.9m3† This version has a maximum payload of 650kg and can tow trailers of up to 1000kg. This version costs 46,200 euros, excluding VAT and bpm.

The three versions all have a 77 kWh battery and a range of more than 400 km. The passenger version can drive 413 kilometers according to the WLTP standard, the commercial vehicle can travel 9 km further. The battery pack is located in the bottom of the bus and can be charged with a maximum of 170 kW. This means that the battery can be charged from 5 to 80 percent within half an hour. The cheaper version of 55,000 euros will probably get a smaller battery pack of 48 kWh. Tweakers previously made a video over de ID Buzz.
