Large Volkswagen ID. The Buzz is perhaps an even more anticipated model than the recently introduced ID 3 and ID 4 electric cars. Customers will see “plug-in” deliveries next year.

According to the Automotive News Europe website, in connection with the gradual discovery, the German carmaker stated that ID Buzz will arrive in three different variants to satisfy every type of customer. As a complete basis, a utility version called Cargo will arrive on the market. The electric drive of the car should be used mainly by companies that specialize in the transport of consignments in large cities.

Two other variants depend mainly on the number of seats that will have an ID. Buzz in the cabin. In Europe, Volkswagen plans to offer a six-seater version, which should allow easy access to the rear seats or the possibility of placed screens for each passenger.

The European variant is to target, among other things, a shared taxi service or similar services, which will take in more than one stranger at a time on one route, but will pay for such a trip. Of course, today you can operate something like this with a normal diesel multivan.

In the version aimed primarily at North America, there should be only four passenger seats – two normal and two opposite. The car is supposed to look for customers there, especially among taxi services and other passenger transport companies, which, unlike the European version, transport people individually or in small groups.

It is not yet clear to what extent one or the other variant will be sold on the continent for which it is not primarily mentioned. However, the absence of one or another variant on a market seems rather illogical.

At the same time, Volkswagen is testing a fourth-level autonomous steering system in the ID Buzz, which would enable completely independent driving on correctly marked roads. Such a version could provide delivery services. The question remains when the European Union will sanction the operation of similar technologies on the “old continent”. ID. Buzz should hit the market in the Czech Republic next year.
