Volkswagen electric crossover ID.4 has won the title of World Car of the Year 2021, German media reports.
In a secret ballot for World Car 2021, 93 journalists from around the world have recognized Volkswagen ID.4, which has overtaken another battery car – the Honda e and Toyota’s compact hatchback Yaris.
In addition to the main prize, winners were also determined in other categories. Honda e, which left Honda Jazz and Toyota Yaris behind, was named the World Urban Car of the Year, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class won the title of World Luxury Car of the Year, ahead of Land Rover Defender and Polestar 2 , In the World Performance Car 2021 high-performance car) category, the Porsche 911 Turbo won, ahead of the Audi RS Q8 and Toyota GR Yaris, but the main prize for the most successful design went to Land Rover Defender, not allowing the Honda e and Mazda MX-30 to stand out.
