With the premiere date approaching, Volkswagen is revealing more interesting facts about the upcoming electric SUV.

Electric Volkswagen ID.4, whose premiere is scheduled for September 23, this time he is trying to take shots from the test track, where he wants to prove his 100% affiliation with SUVs. There is also a demonstration of descending steep slopes, testing of axle crossings or driving over more demanding terrain.

Then a tow is connected behind the electric SUV, the weight of which can reach up to 1.9 tons, according to the carmaker. ID.4 thus lags behind the Tesla Model X, which officially offers a towing capacity of 2,250 kg (and unofficially spread the plane), but playfully surpasses the premium Jaguar I-Pace, which draws only 750 kilograms.
The video also again reveals the design, which is no longer surprising for us. A long time ago, photos of the completely unveiled VW ID.4 escaped from China, where they can be seen in the whole parade. The design of the production car remains quite true to the original in the form of the VW ID Crozz concept.

The interior was unveiled by the carmaker a few days ago, but don’t expect anything new here either. ID.4 took over a number of elements from the electric hatchback ID.3. Both cars thus share the same steering wheel, digital instrument panel and touch screen of the infotainment system.
The Volkswagen ID.4 thus essentially becomes the SUV version of the ID.3 model, which Volkswagen de facto copies Tesla’s approach. It also produced an SUV model called Model Y from the available electric sedan Model 3. Due to the proximity of the bosses of VW and Tesla but a similar approach should not surprise us too much.

The technical parameters could then be identical to the recently introduced electric one Škoda Enyaq iV, with which Volkswagen ID.4 will share platform and technology. However, we will have to wait for the details until September 23, when the global premiere of the model will take place.
