Without big claims, Volkswagen added in the Italian configurator of the its electric ID.3 (Here our test), the long-awaited “basic version“, with a 55 kWh accumulator (45 kWh usable) in theCity set-up. An interesting model that could expand the audience of possible customers given that yours starting price is 34,400 euros, a cost very close to the promised one of 30,000 euros. Furthermore, not only this vehicle is compatible with the latest incentives but it also falls within the maxi facilitation for the people with family ISEE under 30,000 euros once it is officially available.
In this second scenario, the electric car can be purchased with a 40% discount. But let’s see all the details of that specific model.

Volkswagen ID.3 in the City model has a powertrain consisting of a 110 kW (150 HP) electric motor and 310 Nm of torque combined with a 55 kWh battery (45 kWh usable). The maximum speed is 160 km / h, while 8.9 seconds are enough to go from 0 to 100 Km / h starting from a standstill. On the autonomy front, the manufacturer declares a maximum mileage up to 350 Km according to the WLTP cycle.
The data sheet highlights the possibility of recharging in alternating current at 7.4 kW e in direct current up to 100 kW. The standard equipment is interesting and we mention, among other things: Adaptive Cruise Control ACC “stop & go”, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Turn Assist, dedicated armrests for the front seats, Car2X, 18-inch wheels, Air conditioning “Air Care Climatronic” (1 zone), Voice commands, Driving Profile Selection, Front and rear LED lights, Keyless Go, Lane Assist – Lane keeping system, Adjustable, foldable and electrically heated door mirrors, “Discover Pro” Navigator, Park Pilot – Front and rear parking sensors, DAB + digital radio, Sign recognition, Fatigue detector and much more.
Of course, the car can be customized with different accessories and packages. Returning to incentives, Volkswagen, in the configurator, emphasizes this possibility a lot. If you have an old car to be scrapped, the ID.3 City starts at 24,290 euros. Otherwise, the price “goes up” to 27,290 euros.
