Volkswagen expects to return to pre-crisis level from 2022 | Car companies

“I am optimistic that we will close this year properly,” said Diess. “By 2022, we should be back to pre-crisis levels.” Financial director Frank Witter further emphasizes that 2021 will be a transition year with a significant recovery in deliveries and sales.

Volkswagen, also owner of brands such as Skoda, Seat, Audi and Porsche, is therefore sticking to its strategic goals for 2025, the company announced. For example, it aims for an operating result of 7 to 8 percent of turnover, excluding exceptional items. In 2022, that percentage will be between 6 and 7 percent, according to Witter.
