The Germans offer their model all over the world, but they place great emphasis on the USA, where the brand’s marketing department recently launched a new commercial. However, he evoked more emotions with his concept than with the car itself.

In advertising, Volkswagen is trying to portray the electric car as an ideal car for family and nature. For example, a little girl in the back seat talks to a voice assistant in a car. The main advantage of the car, as the company depicts it, is in its advertising its silence, thanks to which you can hear the nature around it. She is represented in the clip by a brown bear.

But that’s where the controversy comes from, because the filmmakers decided that just as ID.4 passed the bear, it would whistle past the “noisy” Subaru Outback soiled with mud, and with the words “I love nature,” meaning “I love nature.” . The actress in the car after the car passes only dryly and indignantly says “Really?”.

The inclusion of the Subaru Outback in an advertisement, which also makes fun of it, has been a controversial step since Volkswagen, because in the USA the Japanese carmaker and this model in particular are very popular. However, time will tell how the ID.4 model will be sold in the USA.
