Several new products are being prepared at Volkswagen. There are electrics, hybrids and thermals. These cars will nest in different segments. The one that interests us today concerns sports.

The new Volkswagen Golf R is being prepared. It has been seen by our photographers on several occasions. The brand’s engineers are developing two other powerful monsters. The first is embodied by the Tiguan R while the second is represented by the Arteon R.
These two racing cars are still under development, and they have just been seen by videographers burning some gum on Green Hell. At this point, the German brand remains silent about them. However, we believe that the Tiguan R will take over the engine of the Golf R. It is neither more nor less than the 2.0-liter four-cylinder which should offer around 330 hp.

Regarding the Volkswagen Arteon R, things are a little more complicated. We have heard of a VR6 engine that would cuber to 3.0 liters and which would develop 410 hp. Of course, this information is to be taken with tweezers, because other rumors evoke the maintenance of the four cylinder of the Golf R. We have some doubts, caution therefore.
For now, Volkswagen is continuing to develop these two models, which we should quickly discover if the pace of testing is to be believed. The calendar could nevertheless be turned upside down by the coronavirus pandemic.
