In the middle of March – this year on March 9th – is the so-called Cashback Day. The R + V insurance, as a partner of the Volksbanken and Raiffeisenbanken, pays back insurance premiums in this context. This is the case if the claims development in the respective region was favorable in the past year, i.e. the insurance company had to spend little money to settle claims. “We are thus implementing the cooperative idea of ’one for all, all for one’: if there is little damage within the respective insured community, the individual benefits,” explains Karl-Anton Erath, CEO of Volksbank Löbau-Zittau. According to a press release, R + V is now distributing more than 13 million euros to customers nationwide.

Customers of the local Volksbank Löbau-Zittau also benefit from this. Around 800 members of the Volksbank Löbau-Zittau can look forward to a refund, the Volksbank announced. Up to ten percent of the insurance premiums paid are returned. This even applies to customers who have reported damage. Because it counts – according to the cooperative principle of the bank – the claims history of the entire community of a bank. Members of the cooperative bank who have taken out membership plus insurance with R+V receive money back.

The cashback campaign applies to household contents, residential building, liability and legal expenses insurance. The R+V company health insurance fund is also taking part in the campaign: members of cooperative banks and the R+V BKK who have not been admitted to the hospital for a year will receive up to 60 euros back. There is a one-time hospital stay of 30 euros. (SZ)
