Almost forty years ago, in the mid-eighties, Volkmar Staub and Matthias Deutschmann appeared together for the first time with a satirical monthly magazine in Freiburg. Both moved to Berlin in the late 80s. Deutschmann is back, but the dust remains.
In 2023 the Baden revolution celebrates its 175th birthday. Deutschmann has meanwhile founded the consulting company Mephisto Consulting and wants to win over Staub as a native of Baden and as an “Alemannic aborigine” for a secret project. He goes by the pseudonym “The Baden Solution”.
The Europe of regions will come and the Baden brand will have to be positioned on the market. This is political marketing. Baden has unique strong economic and historical strengths and therefore great opportunities to stand on its own in European regions: Mediterranean climate rising, 1 A – location on the Upper Rhine, the Black Forest as a classic summer resort and sports and non-sports park forget its excellent gastronomy with Baden wine as its flagship. And it has a revolution, albeit a failed one, in its historical baggage.
As a romantic politician and melancholic anonymous, Staub is (almost) so old that he personally took part in many revolutionary actions in Baden and likes to talk about them. 50 years ago it was still impossible to campaign sympathy for Baden with a revolution. Today, Black Forest tourism is interested in the topic. The Black Forest cherry tree and the Baden revolution can combine symbiotically and make the region a politically correct attraction for business, tourism and the technology of the future.
Mephisto Consulting wants to remove the original Baden dust from the capital and turn it into a nice figurehead for the campaign. Go to Berlin, go to Stuttgart! The Baden solution!
