The suspect and her neighbors had had a difficult relationship for years, which led to confrontations on more than one occasion. In April, it was about noise pollution, which at a certain point became too much for the woman.
Arson
On the day in question, she set fire to the house in question through the letterbox, while she knew that her neighbors were probably still sleeping at the time.

According to the court, it is thanks to a smoke detector, decisive action by bystanders and the victims themselves that no deaths have occurred. The woman herself went to her own house after the arson and did not care about the victims. She has stated that she acted in a fit of madness.
Attempted homicide
Camera images contradict that, the judge believes. In the images, the woman appears ‘calm and determined’. To a passerby who witnessed the arson, she said, “Yeah, I’m all done with it, they’re making a fuss all night, I’m setting it on fire.”
According to the court, this indicates a preconceived plan. The woman was not only guilty of arson, but also attempted murder.
Old age
The court blames the woman for continuing to place the blame largely outside herself, despite her apologies. In determining the sentence, the judge took into account, among other things, the advanced age of the suspect. She had a clean criminal record.
The woman has been released earlier pending her trial. The judge rejected a demand from the Public Prosecution Service to immediately detain her again. The woman can therefore also freely await a possible appeal.
