Void Bastards PS4 and Switch release confirmed for May 2020

A PEGI note surfaced at the start of the year, suggesting the BioShock and System shock 2-inspired Empty bastards would soon make its way to the PS4. Well, the rating committee has not yet deceived us. The space strategy shooter will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in a few weeks on May 7.

Empty bastards Developer Blue Manchu announced the news on the game’s official Twitter page with a brand new trailer. Find out in the post below:

The shooter was launched for the first time on PC and Xbox One in 2019. Jonathan Chey, former developer on System shock 2 and BioShock, piloted this particular project. Unsurprisingly, players are bound to notice the influence of the two nests in the Empty bastards experience. The title of Blue Manchu offers something new, however. This is particularly evident in his use of navigation strategy and other game mechanics.

In Empty bastards, the players will lead the team holding the rags as they escape from the Sargassum nebula. This basic premise plays into the tactical elements of navigation. Players will need to strategically determine where the team is going, how they manage their time there, and who they will fight once installed. Although it turns out to be difficult, Chey once revealed that it was possible to beat Empty bastards without dying. It seems that fans of PS4 and Switch are really satisfied.
