The Vöhrenbach youth fire brigade is proud to have achieved 11th place out of 115 participants in a youth competition organized by humanitarian organizations.
Vöhrenbach – Success for the Vöhrenbach youth fire brigade: In the “BGV junior heroes” competition, the Vöhrenbach fire brigade progeny recently finished eleventh and received a cash prize to promote youth work.
With the “BGV Junior Heroes” funding competition, the Baden insurance companies, insurers in particular for the municipalities, are supporting the aid organizations of Baden. The contest was held for the second time and once again saw a large number of participants: 115 groups of helpers presented their work for young people and over 377,000 votes were cast in the public vote via the Internet. 20 Audience Awards were chosen.
Eleventh place out of 115 candidates
In this public assessment, the young firefighters from Vöhrenbach ranked 11th among 115 applicants. The district insurance representative, Steffen Kurz from St. Georgen, came to Vöhrenbach and presented the young people with a prize of 750 euros.
As the youth leader Moritz Winker explained, there are currently 33 active young people in the Vöhrenbach youth fire brigade. This profit is mainly used to buy more cots and tents. These are needed again and again for a tented camp or 24 hour trials. This year there has already been a successful tented camp together with the DRK in Linach. And this equipment must now be significantly expanded for the young fire brigade from Vöhrenbach. Commander-in-Chief Ralf Heizmann and Mayor Heiko Wehrle also congratulated on the success.
