The first wave of price hikes for prepaid packages occurred at Vodafone in November last year. This spring, the price of flat-rates increased across the board, and now there will be another upward adjustment of prices, namely for prepaid packages that the operator “left alone” with the original price in the fall. To make the price increase less painful for subscribers, they can use the bonus of 5 GB of free data for selected packages in the summer months.
New prices and package parameters will apply from June 29, 2023, the operator thus informs the public exactly within the statutory period of one month in advance. However, bonus data can be used from June 1. Packages with old parameters at the original prices will not be able to be activated after June 29. Existing customers will learn about the changes in the My Vodafone self-service and also via SMS messages.

Package changes from June 29, 2023:
Unlimited network calls: the package became more expensive last fall by 20 crowns, now it remains unchanged at 119 CZK.
Calls to all networks 40: it is a modified package that adds 10 minutes of calls to all networks (calls on the Vodafone network are unlimited), but at the same time increases the price by 20 kroner to 159 CZK. Here, Vodafone uses the proven strategy of raising prices, disguised as an added (unsolicited for many customers) volume of free units.
Calls to all networks 130: the same case as with the previous package, there is an (“unsolicited”) addition of 30 minutes of calls to all networks and the package becomes more expensive by fifty kroner per 299 CZK.
Unlimited calls to all networks: the already outrageously overpriced package (Vodafone offers the same as a flat rate for CZK 327 plus unlimited SMS and 1.5 GB of data) keeps the same price 599 CZK.
1.5 GB + unlimited SMS on the network: this package increased in price by 20 kroner in the fall, its price now remains at 119 CZK.
3.5 GB + unlimited SMS on the network: increasing the data volume by 1 GB and increasing the price by CZK 40 per 239 CZK.
10 GB + unlimited SMS in the network: increase in data volume by 4 GB and increase in price by fifty crowns to 399 CZK.
Unlimited network calls + 1.5 GB: maintaining the same parameters and raising the price by ten crowns to 149 CZK (in the fall, this package avoided price increases).
Set in the network (unlimited SMS and minutes to the Vodafone network + 3.5 GB of data): probably the biggest price increase of all packages – for the added 1 GB of data, Vodafone dares to ask for a fifty-crown surcharge and price 299 CZK.
Complete for all networks (unlimited SMS and minutes to all networks + 10 GB): the only case of a real discount of one hundred crowns and the simultaneous addition of 4 GB of data to the package for 799 CZK.
“Over the summer, when people are on holiday, we’re giving away an extra 5GB of data each month. This gift is valid for both the current offer and modified packages from the end of June. At the same time, all prepaid cards can also use our state-of-the-art 5G network,” says Josef Bína, manager of Vodafone’s prepaid cards segment.
During June, July and August, any Vodafone customer using a package that includes data can claim an extra 5GB of data in the online self-service or My Vodafone app. For example, customers with a package 1.5 GB + unlimited SMS in the network they will receive 6.5 GB of data for a price of CZK 119 in each of the three months mentioned.
