Together, T-Mobile and Vodafone want to build up to one million optical connections in the Czech Republic. The agreement also includes mutual access to part of the already built connections in several cities, including Prague and Brno. The operators want to publish the exact details later.
“Already today, Vodafone offers an Internet connection of 1 Gb / s for 1.6 million households and companies. After the completion of the project, Vodafone will offer a multi-gigabit connection to more than half of Czech households. At the same time, we will continue to improve the parameters of our existing network, ”says Vodafone.
“Last year, we managed to bring 284,000 households in 75 cities to the optics, and the cooperation agreement will allow us to significantly accelerate the progress of the construction of key infrastructures. We bring our know-how to build optical infrastructure and state-of-the-art FTTH technology – Fiber to The Home – into the project, ”adds T-Mobile.
