We are, of course, talking about the spectacular sci-fi Rebel Moon: Part Two – Scar, in which the controversial director Zack Snyder returns with the second part of his not very positively received saga. Even though success is not guaranteed after the disappointment of the first part, most of the streaming competition decided that it would be unwise to put another big title against the Netflix newcomer. However, domestic Voyo did not panic and sent two domestic comedies to the streaming waters this week, which have the potential to score points with viewers. In short, what are they to choose from?

The continuation of the successful Czech comedy from the workshop of Jiří Vejdělek returns to the stage the Kostky family, led by Hynk Čermák and Tatiana Dyková, who live together with their daughter and employees in the family castle. However, the interest of visitors has been fading lately, the father of the family has no paychecks or repairs to the castle, and worries are starting to pile up. Into this situation comes the spirited Deniska, daughter of lawyer Benda, who stirs up the waters even more at the castle. The serial adaptation of the well-known bestseller by Amor Towles introduces Ewan McGregor as Count Alexander Rostov, who after the Russian Revolution in 1917 found himself on the wrong side of the barricade due to his aristocratic origins. In the end, the Bolsheviks do not execute him, they just order him to remain in a rather unconventional house arrest – the luxurious Hotel Metropol, where he of course has a “nice” loft and whose gates he must not leave under threat of death. The somewhat crazier comedy directed by Jan Prušinovský (MOST!, Okresní přebor) introduces us to cousins Roman and Emil, who want to watch the Formula 1 Grand Prix. When Emil wins tickets to a race in Barcelona, their dream trip turns into a very crazy road trip across Europe, in which Roman’s problematic friend Štětka becomes involved, because of which troubles begin to stick to this trio from the very beginning. In the main roles of the comedy, which is now on Netflix, you will see Kryštof Hádek and Štěpán Kozub in one of his craziest roles.

Paradoxically, Kryštof Hádek is also the main face of another comedy that has now landed on the stream, specifically on the Voyo platform. In the film Lítá v tom, he played a hero who cannot last in a long-term relationship. When his mom falls seriously ill, he decides to please her with a seemingly innocent lie and asks a pregnant neighbor to play his serious acquaintance. But the situation gets complicated when the mother miraculously recovers and things may start to really spark between the pair.
