VOCES will raffle a car for people who receive booster shots against COVID-19

VOCES The Puerto Rico Immunization and Health Promotion Coalition announced this afternoon, Thursday, that they will be raffling off a vehicle to those who commit to receiving at least one booster dose against COVID-19.

The delivery of a new Mazda 3 Hatchback package, donated by the company Bella Group, is part of the new educational campaign “More reasons to vaccinate”, an effort that will highlight the reasons why residents have been inoculated against the disease of the SARS-CoV-2 and will use their testimonies as a reason to continue to be on guard against the virus that, today, has claimed the lives of more than 4,200 people since the pandemic began.

“It is a recognition of the commitment of citizens. Puerto Rico has managed to position itself as the first state/territory to exceed 80% of the vaccination against COVID-19 in the primary series, and about 55% of the people eligible for the first booster dose have already received it” , highlighted the founder and main executive of VOCES, Lilliam Rodríguez.

“27% have received the second booster dose. This is an achievement that, without a doubt, we must highlight, as we continue to advance towards the goal of controlling this virus. But it’s up to all of us to pitch in, and there are still plenty of eligible people who can get vaccinated with their first or second booster dose. As the motto of our campaign expresses “there are many reasons”; protect ourselves, reconnect, resume normalcy in our lives. And today we give them another one, ”he highlighted.

Likewise, Rodríguez highlighted that VOCES, nor any of the providers, have disbursed funds for the raffle. The effort is thanks to the collaboration of private companies such as the agency Lopito Ileana & Howie, and the support of the media.
