“VMRO – Bulgarian National Movement” will not register lists and will participate in the elections for the National Assembly with an active campaign “I do not support anyone”, reports the press center of the party.
The decision was taken by the Executive Committee of VMRO. The reasons are detailed in a declaration adopted at the last meeting of the party’s governing body, the text states. They say that for two years the same political parties have been reproducing themselves in the National Assembly, spending millions of BGN on campaigns and elections.
VMRO terminated negotiations with “Bulgarian Rise”
“We from VMRO declared and responsibly started talks on the construction of a new right-conservative project, which would put in its foundations the Christian values, the moral principles of the Bulgarian, as well as nationally responsible policies”, the declaration recalls.
“With this aim, VMRO turned to “There is such a people”, “Bulgarian Rise” and other political entities with whom we could find a common understanding on the issues of consent and political dialogue, changing the constitutional model and strengthening the powers of the president, the Macedonian question, etc.,” reads the information.
Gallup: Who would win if the election were held now?
“Unfortunately, internal political and external factors thwarted the attempt to form a Bulgarian national force that would actually represent the ordinary Bulgarian citizens in the parliament. Political selfishness also prevailed, the struggle for positions and subsidies, in which we do not want to participate”, they explain their decision from VMRO.
They add that the system needs to change, therefore their participation in elections is pointless”. The political force announced that they are starting an active campaign “I do not support anyone” to show that people who do not want to live in “this inflated from foreign embassies bubble”, are a force that has not yet fulfilled its potential.
