Dusan Vlahovic finally broke the goal drought after breaking into the goal Villarreal. Vlahovic’s goal celebration seemed to be directed at his criticism.

Danilo sent a high pass from the halfway line, which Vlahovic received in the penalty box. Despite being overshadowed by two Villarreal players, Vlahovic fired a low shot towards the far post which the opposing goalkeeper couldn’t reach.
The 22-year-old footballer then celebrated his goal by making a “chatter” gesture with his left hand towards the stands. Vlahovic then sprinted to the touchline, which was met with hugs from his team-mates.
With a goal against Villarreal, Dusan Vlahovic means that he has already scored twice in his first five games together Juventus. In total, Vlahovic has packed 22 goals in 29 appearances throughout 2021/2022.
The Italian media interpreted Vlahovic’s goal celebration as an answer to recent criticism of him. However, Vlahovic denied that assumption.
“I don’t know why people always try to create controversy,” he said after the match was proclaimed by Football-Italy. “I don’t read newspapers anyway, I’m just trying to improve every day and stay grounded.”
“That wasn’t for criticism, it was just a gesture for one of my family members. That’s all,” straightforwardly Vlahovic.
