Serbian Dusan Vlahovic scored a goal in the final minutes leading Juventus to a 1-0 victory over local neighbors and rivals Torino in Italian Serie A on Saturday.
Juventus were under pressure after losing 2-0 to Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League, but the team’s lackluster performance, which suffered many absences in the first half, did not arouse optimism.
“I’m happy, especially as it’s our first away win this season. We haven’t been able to score in three of our last five games, so it wasn’t easy. The team showed the strength of its character,” said the coach. Juventus Massimiliano Allegri told the Dzon platform.
Juventus is missing Angel Di Maria, who was absent until the beginning of next month due to a hamstring injury. The midfield suffers from the absence of the attacking midfielder and he struggles to create opportunities and find space against Torino.
