Genoa –
Dusan Vlahovic again failed to break into the opponent’s goal in defeat Juventus at the headquarters of Genoa 1-2. Massimiliano Allegri remains happy with Vlahovic’s performance.
In the match at Luigi Ferraris, Saturday (7/5/2022) WIB, Juve took the lead thanks to Paulo Dybala’s goal. However, Genoa made a comeback in the last minute by creating two goals from Albert Gudmunsson and Domenico Criscito to break the Old Lady’s heart.
Meanwhile Vlahovic failed to make an impact while on the field. Vlahovic recorded only one shot against Genoa before being replaced by Alvaro Morata in the 74th minute.
Thus, the Serbian striker extended his goal drought to four games in a row. The last time Vlahovic scored for Juventus was in a 1-1 draw against Bologna in April.
Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri continued to praise Vlahovic’s performance. Although the player was criticized for still not meeting expectations after being brought in for 70 million euros in the winter.
“He had one of his best matches on a technical level,” Allegri told Sky Sport Italia. “I’m very happy with how he plays technically.”
I’ve tried explaining it before, but I was attacked as if I was the one destroying Vlahovic. He hasn’t played many games in Serie A and we have to find a balance. Sometimes I say things but they don’t understand or they pretend they don’t understand.”
“He may not realize it was a good performance, but slowly he will find a balance. He will find the ability to play at the right pace in terms of mentality. These are steps he has to take.
“He felt it was his fault because he didn’t score, but it wasn’t like that. I would tell him that he played well technically. If he always plays like this, it will be good for the team.” Allegri added about Vlahovic.
