/ world today news/ The Netherlands and Denmark will transfer 14 Leopard-2 tanks to Ukraine in 2024, the Dutch Ministry of Defense announced.
“The Netherlands together with Denmark are buying 14 Leopard-2A4 tanks for Ukraine. After overhaul, they will be sent to Ukraine as soon as possible. Delivery is expected to take place in 2024,” the ministry said in a statement.
It is noted that the Netherlands and Denmark will share the cost of purchasing tanks.
This message was commented by the military expert Vladislav Shurigin.
“It’s hard for me to say what it will mean in 2024, because nobody knows what will happen in 2024. But this year, and next year, the number of tanks purchased is scarce. This is not even for one battle, but simply for one attack of one tank division in one area – there is nothing to discuss”, the military expert is convinced.
Aid to Ukraine from countries like Denmark and the Netherlands can only be symbolic, he said.
