Vladimir Putin’s Plan to Attend G20 in Bali, Highlights by Many Foreign Media, China Gives Support

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Plan Russian President Vladimir Putin attending the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia, in October this year was in the spotlight of foreign media.

Reuters, The Sydney Morning Herald, Channel News Asia, Fox News, BBC, and a number of other foreign media published a story with almost the same title ‘Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend the G20 Meeting in Bali’.

This quoted the Russian Ambassador to Jakarta, Lyudmila Vorobyova, on Wednesday (23/3/2022).

As is known, the Group of Twenty (G20) Summit in Bali, Indonesia, will be held at the end of 2022.

This event will be attended Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Putin’s planned presence is in the limelight.

The reason is, in the last few days since the Ukraine war with Russia, there have been calls from several G20 member countries who want Russia to be expelled from the group.

Responding to the call, Lyudmila Vorobyova argued that the reaction of western countries to Russia was disproportionate.

“Not only the G20, many organizations are trying to get Russia out. The Western reaction is completely disproportionate,” he said at a press conference on Wednesday (23/3/2022) as reported by Reuters.

The desire of America and its western allies to exclude Russia’s membership in the G20 group is unlikely to be easy.
