Brazil is ready to comply with the arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin, TASS reported.
This was confirmed by Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira. He gave an interview on the subject.
He announced that his country will comply with the decision of the International Court of Justice if the Russian head of state arrives in the country.
The South African government has warned him not to travel to the country where the BRICS meeting will take place.
Vieira admitted that once Putin decided to arrive in Brazil, he would probably face a very difficult situation. The country is ready to familiarize itself with international practices on the subject.
Brazil is among the states with which Brazil hopes to achieve an enhanced partnership. Until now, they had a positive dialogue.
However, the government prefers to comply with the law.
