The measure will come into force from 1 February for a period of five months, until 1 July.

“The deliveries of Russian oil and petroleum products to countries that have introduced a price ceiling will be possible only on the basis of a specific decision by the President of Russia”, also reads the decree, published today.

The Russian Energy Ministry will monitor the implementation of the regulatory act.

At the beginning of December, the EU, the G7 and Australia fixed a ceiling on the price of Russian oil, which will be 60 dollars a barrel.
