Vladimir Putin compares Ukraine war to Israel’s Gaza conflict: A controversial statement sparks debate on global stage

Russian President Vladimir Putin compared the war currently underway between Russia and Ukraine to Israel’s Hamas war in Gaza.

Putin said the war in Ukraine was not as serious as the war currently taking place in Gaza.

According to him, military operations in Ukraine are different from those in Gaza.

Putin then said that thousands of children and women had died as a result of Israel’s attacks on Gaza. Meanwhile in Ukraine, he claimed that nothing of the sort had happened.

“Look at the special military operations and what is happening in Gaza and feel the difference. There is nothing like that in Ukraine,” said Putin, Thursday (14/12/2023).
