According to rescuers, the fall lasted about 400 meters. Initially, Karolev was transported to the hospital in Razlog, but later, due to his many injuries, he was transferred to Pirogov. The economist has a traumatic brain injury and cerebral hemorrhage, chest trauma, ankle fracture and ruptures of internal organs.
“The condition is unchanged, it is still severe. He is intubated, he is on mechanical ventilation. Today his ankle was operated on urgently by Prof. Diyan Enchev. The operation went well. We are doing what we need, we are going according to plan, but for now we cannot say that there is an improvement “, explained Prof. Baltov.
