Although Monika made her debut in the 1972 film Aféry mojí větny, she is most famous for her role in the comedy Hop – and there is ape, where she played the character Blanka Turečková. She played the partner of actor Vladimír Dlouhé, who was also her classmate at the Prague Conservatory. During the filming of Hop – and there’s a monkey, even a spark struck between Hálova and Dlouhý. The media speak of her first love, which unfortunately did not last long.
