A surprise election of the chairman and vice-chairman of the committee was held in connection with the fact that he became vice-chairman on August 7. Anastasia Kovalenko-Kõlvart he accepted the leadership of a special anti-corruption committee of the Riigikogu. As a result of the working hours of the committees overlapping, Kovalenko-Kõlvart left the European Union Affairs Committee and was replaced by Arkhipov.
