The Antena 1 star claims that allergic rhinitis gave her a lot of trouble in her career because she always had a stuffy nose and couldn’t say her lines well.
“You as an actor must be understood by the viewers. It’s easier when you’re a movie actor. When you’re on stage, it’s complicated. When you have a stuffy nose, you can’t understand what you’re saying. I always have drops during filming,” the actor said on social media.
“I go to multiple doctors for multiple opinions. I can’t cure the disease, I can only control it. I’m allergic to cat hair. I love cats, I lived with one in my house for nine years. But now I can’t,” he added.

Allergic rhinitis: what it is, symptoms, treatment
Allergic rhinitis is an inflammation of the nasal mucosa that occurs as a result of exposure to an allergen such as pollen, dust, mold or animal hair.
Some symptoms appear shortly after contact with the allergen to which you may be allergic, and these include:
- The sneeze
- Tearing of the eyes
- Itchy nose/eyes/skin
- Runny nose
Along the way, they may also appear:
- cough
- Nasal congestion
- Clogged ears
- Pain in the throat
- The headache
- Fatigue, and others
In most cases, the symptoms of allergic rhinitis are mild and treatable. In some cases, however, symptoms can be severe and persistent, affecting sleep and quality of life.
Some ways to prevent allergic rhinitis:
- Sanitizing the mattress, bed linen or using an anti-mite cover
- Washing hands after touching/petting a pet
- Removing pets from the bedroom during the night/sleep
- Avoiding touching your face, eyes or nose with your hands
- Closing the windows or windows of the car during the season when the amount of pollen in the air increases
Although the symptoms of allergic rhinitis can be bothersome at times, changing your lifestyle or taking recommended medications can be enough to lessen them. But if these symptoms prevents you from falling asleep or affects your performance during the day, see an allergist specialist.
