Vlaardingen – On Thursday morning, the GGD opened another vaccination location in the Rotterdam Rijnmond region. Today that was the location in Vlaardingen.
This location is located in District U, the former Unilever site on the Olivier van Noortlaan in Vlaardingen. After an introductory talk by Mayor Bas Eenhoorn and vaccination manager Marco Slegt of the GGD, the location was opened and the first person vaccinated. This was 56-year-old Alfred Baert from Vlaardingen. He got the vaccine from Pfizer.
The location in Vlaardingen is the 11th vaccination location in the Rotterdam Rijnmond region and has 9 injection streets with which more than 1200 vaccinations can be administered per day. In the near future, 3 more injection locations will be added in the Rotterdam Rijnmond region, bringing the total number to 14 injection locations.
