At the same time Vlaams Belang is a conservative party, says Van Greeks. “LGBs are not unnatural and it must be terrible to be born as a man in a woman’s body or vice versa. I find it problematic that men who wear dresses are presented as the most normal thing in the world. “We live happily in a democracy, where fortunately there is freedom of expression. The price we pay for this is that we are occasionally offended. I am happy to pay that price,” says Van Greeks.
