The Government announced that a authorization to vaccinate children between the ages of 3 and 11 against the coronavirus with doses of China Sinopharm, with the objective of completing the immunization of that age group of the population before the end of the year.
“Argentina ends 2021 with its entire population over three years covered and protected. We have the stock to start this vaccination and complete the schemes,” said Health Minister Carla Vizzotti at a press conference with the Minister of Health. Education Jaime Perczyk.

Vizzotti confirmed that Sinopharm vaccines can be given to children between the ages of 3 and 11.

In the case of the Sinopharm vaccines, he explained that their use was authorized by the ANMAT after having carried out clinical trials of phases 1 and 2 and said that the Argentina already has a stock of “10 million”, to which will be added “between October 4 and 11 a batch of 1.5 million more and another of 1.6 million, with which to complete 12 million doses by the end of this month.”

In this framework, Vizzotti, announced a call for Monday from the Federal Council of Health to evaluate how they follow the steps for the vaccination of children and young people against the coronavirus, either in schools or in immunization centers.
