It’s about investing 3 million euros for the Vizille town center. The president of the Metropolis, Christophe Ferrari, was alongside the mayor of Vizille, Catherine Trotton, the January 17 last, and the general secretary of the prefecture of Isère, Eléonore Lacroix, for sign an OPAH-RU agreement. The objective of this program is to reinvigorate the city center of Vizillois, starting with housing.

This housing improvement program is mainly financed by the National Housing Agency (1.79 million euros), plus an envelope from the Metro (927,000 euros), on the one hand funding from the Banque des Territoires (€72,000) and an investment by the municipality (up to €290,000).
In total, therefore, more than 3 million euros of investments for operations planned over the next few years. The intervention on the vizilloise polarity of the Metropolis will be articulated around three axes: halt the decline of the city center around the castle square; define a new economic strategy around the residential economy and tourist attractiveness; and improve mobility.

The OPAH is an operational partnership mechanism lasting five years, piloted by the Métropole, which aims to act directly on the private park while integrating the various needs of the sector (public spaces, activities, etc.). It responds to elements of diagnoses noted for several years: degradation of the frame, vacancy of housing and buildings, modest occupants.
In Vizille, the system concerns a perimeter of approximately 250 buildings. The work objectives contained in this agreement concern 25 buildings, i.e. 160 housing units minimum.
