Vivo Y52s (T1 Edition) is official, with Snapdragon 480

Jakarta, Selular.ID – Vivo often launches smartphones that are equipped with good specifications and various variants for each product. But it seems that the company is not very good at determining names for its smartphones. The most recent example is the Vivo Y52s (T1 Edition).

Officially in the Chinese domestic market, the Vivo Y52s (T1 Edition) comes in three different color variants, namely Titanium Gray, Coral Pink and Aurora gradient. This device is shipped in one configuration which is 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The price is pegged at CNY2,099 or if converted at this time to around IDR 4,600,000.

This is certainly a long naming for a smartphone that is not much different from the Vivo Y52s device which was launched about six months ago. The biggest difference here is that the latest model comes with a Snapdragon 480 SoC.

Vivo Y52s is an affordable mid-range smartphone. This device is equipped with a 6.58 inch LCD with a high refresh rate of 90 Hz. The device also packs a Full HD + resolution which means 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. In addition, the panel comes with a water drop notch design as a home for the basic 8MP selfie camera with an f / 2.0 aperture.

Moving backwards, this device is far from being the Vivo flagship with a gimbal-like camera system. It comes with a simple dual camera setup. For a 48MP resolution camera that gets help from a 2MP depth camera to support the bokeh effect. The device is equipped with a single LED flash and all of them are mounted inside a square camera island.

Inside the frame, the smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 chipset. It is an Octa-Core chipset featuring four ARM Cortex-A76 cores clocked up to 2.0GHz plus four power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocked up to 1.8GHz.

The company is also equipping the smartphone with a 70 mm long steam chamber inside the smartphone. This is combined with several AI features and a graphite coating which allows for precise heat dissipation. Vivo seems quite confident in the gaming capabilities of the Snapdragon 480 SoC.

This chipset has an Adreno 619 GPU, much better than the Adreno 610 found on some Snapdragon 600 series chips. This handset also has a Multi-Turbo 5.0 Booster which will better allocate resources for gaming.

The Vivo Y52s (T1 Edition) gets power from a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging via the USB-C port. The handset runs Android 11 and has the Origin OS on top.
