Vivo officially unveiled its new flagship phone, the Vivo X90 Pro Plus, to be the company’s first phone with a camera with a large sensor area of ​​1 inch, and the second in the world with this large sensor after Xiaomi .

Vivo held an event in China to announce the new generation of its Vivo X90 flagship phones, and what caught the most attention was the Vivo X90 Pro Plus, the best of the bunch.

Specifications of Vivo X90 Pro Plus

As stated in last weeks leaks, it has been announced that the X90 Pro Plus comes with a metal frame and a vegan leather back, to give the phone a luxurious feel.

The front screen is curved on both sides with narrow bezels, and in the center is a hole for the selfie camera, while on the other side is a rear camera with four lenses all on a large circular island, and there it’s also a metal bar underneath, which separates somewhat from the camera portion of the phone.

The 6.78-inch AMOLED screen has a QHD resolution with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and can automatically switch from 1 to 120Hz depending on the mode of use thanks to LTPO technology, as well as a brightness of up to 1800 lumens.

From the inside, the phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor which is the latest from the company as of now, while the global option is likely to come with the second generation Snapdragon 8 processor.

The processor supports 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, along with two options for internal storage; 256 or 512GB.

The camera of the Vivo X90 Pro Plus is a quad-lens camera, as mentioned above, the main sensor of Sony IMX989, 1 inch with a resolution of 50 megapixels, and the second ultra wide-angle lens with a resolution of 48 megapixels, next to these are two zoom lenses with a resolution of 50 and 64 megapixels, so that the phone can zoom up to 100 times.

Vivo said the phone will come with a 4,800mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The phone has an IP68 protection certificate, supports Bluetooth 5.3 and WiFi 7 connectivity, has a thickness of 9.7 mm and weighs 221 grams.

The price of the Vivo X90 Pro Plus starts at 6,499 Chinese yuan (equivalent to about $910) and is available first in China, and is expected to be launched for global markets in the near future.
