The device introduces a dynamic imaging approach designed to bridge photography and video capabilities, featuring a 200-megapixel ZEISS APO telefoto camera built around a 1/1.4-type sensor that yields an 85 mm equivalent focal length, according to Teknoblog. To counteract hand movement at extended focal lengths, the system incorporates CIPA 7.0 Professional Stabilization. Focusing is managed by a 1536-zone multi-region laser autofocus system operating across all focal ranges.
For high-magnification scenarios, the phone pairs with the vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Generation 2 Ultra accessory, which provides a 4.7x magnification to reach a 400 mm equivalent focal length. According to Teknoblog, the Kepler-type optical system combines 15 high-light-transmittance glass elements—including five extra-low dispersion elements and one aspherical glass design—into a housing measuring 116 mm in length and weighing 248 grams. A smaller version, the vivo ZEISS Telephoto Extender Generation 2, offers 2.35x magnification for a 200 mm equivalent focal length at 96 mm long and 153 grams. Both extenders support 10 shooting modes, including Scene, Snapshot, and Pro Video.
Action tracking is handled by an Instant Snapshot feature operating at 60 frames per second, backed by a 30x Long-Distance Moving Instant Snapshot mode intended to preserve clarity on distant subjects.

The device utilizes a ZEISS TrueDynamic main camera built on a Sony LYTIA L910 sensor developed jointly by vivo and Sony, featuring ZEISS T* coating, according to Teknoblog. The sensor measures approximately 50 megapixels with a 1/1.28-type size and a 12.49 mm diagonal length. With a read noise floor dropping to 0.75 electrons, the camera targets a dynamic range of up to 17 EV in a single exposure, balancing bright sky details with shadowed areas.
Market Availability and Regional Launch Schedule
In Türkiye, vivo will offer the X500 Pro Max in two color variants: Starry Grey and Moonlight Black. Alongside the flagship smartphone release, vivo is bringing the vivo Headphone Studio and vivo BudsClip accessories to the Turkish market, with pre-sales scheduled to commence on October 27, 2026.
