PT VIVO Energy Indonesia (VEI) had previously talked about the continuation of Revvo 89 in the country. According to them, the government has banned the sale of low-octane fuel since the end of the year. As a result, they inevitably have to remove it and replace it with a new fuel with a higher RON.
“To comply with government policies, PT Vivo Energy Indonesia has taken the necessary steps to exhaust our Revvo 89 inventory by the end of this year,” VIVO management wrote in an official statement.

Curious about the price, detikOto visited one of the VIVO service stations in Bekasi, West Java. According to one of the PMS officials, his party is in fact preparing new fuel with 90 RON. As for the price, there is no certainty on the part of the company, but it is clear that there is no difference compared to 89 RON.
“There is no information (on the price), but perhaps not far from Revvo 89,” the VIVO gas station officer told detikOto on Monday (10/10/2022).
It is known, currently Revvo 89 fuel is sold for Rp. 11,600 per liter. While the Revvo 92 is priced at Rp. 14,400. If you refer to the statement from the gas station official, most likely VIVO’s new fuel with RON 90 will be anchored at Rp. 12 thousand. However, again, this is only an estimate.
VIVO RON 90 fuel is not subsidized

Interestingly, he confirmed that the new VIVO fuel with RON 90 was included in the list of unsubsidized fuels. This is a sign, the fuel is different from the Pertalite sold by Pertamina.
According to him, Pertalite is a type of Special Allocation Fuel (JBKP), so the government provides compensation for every liter of Pertamina gasoline sales, especially when the selling price is lower than its cheap price.
“Yes, VIVO 90 is unsubsidized,” Maompang said.
